Madison Film Festival 2026
The 2026 Madison Film Festival will be held at the Bartell Theatre, located in the heart of Madison’s downtown, on September 26, 2026.The festival provides filmmakers and movie lovers alike with an opportunity to connect, inspire, and grow through a remarkably artistic showcase.
Through the non-stop perseverance and dedication in attracting elite talent and staying true to our midwestern values, one day at a time, we believe Madison, Wisconsin is on its way to becoming a film hub of the globe.
Filmmakers welcome
The Madison Film Festival is an annual movie event dedicated to independent filmmakers from all over the world.
With a showcase of different genres and styles, our vision is to provide a platform for inspiring filmmakers with a big vision (but not as big of a budget) to share and tell their stories to cinema fans and fellow filmmakers.
Interested filmmakers are welcome to submit their work and compete for multiple awards in several categories chosen by our jury.
We look forward to showcasing your film in the beautiful city of Madison.
